About Alex
The Short Version
Alexander Parmenidez sells homes across Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. He is a Broker Associate at Coldwell Banker Realty, licensed in all three states, and he has been doing this since 2013.
He works with first-time buyers, sellers, multi-family and investment buyers, and families settling inherited or probate property. He handles every transaction personally — you deal with Alex, not a handoff to an assistant — and he does it in English or Spanish.
Straight pricing, no games. Some agents win a listing by quoting the highest number in the room. Alex prices to what the market will actually pay, and he will tell you if your number is wrong before you find out the hard way, thirty days into a stale listing.
Buying With Alex
Buying a Home in Rhode Island, Connecticut or Massachusetts
Alex starts by finding out what you can actually afford — not what a lender pre-approves you for. Those are different numbers, and the gap between them is where people get into trouble.
From there: what loan types you qualify for, what the real monthly cost looks like once taxes and insurance are in, and which neighborhoods fit your commute and your budget. He will tell you when a house is a bad deal, even if you love it. Especially if you love it.
A large share of Alex’s buyers are buying their first home, and many are doing it in Spanish. No question is too basic.
Selling With Alex
Selling Your Home — Priced on Data, Not Optimism
The single biggest mistake sellers make is overpricing, and most agents let them, because the agent who quotes the highest number usually wins the listing. Alex will not do that.
You get a street-specific comparable analysis, an honest list price, professional photography, full MLS entry with national syndication, and targeted promotion to the buyer your property actually attracts. Then he negotiates the whole offer — price, contingencies, financing strength, inspection terms, closing timeline — not just the number on top.
If a repair is not worth making, he will say so. If waiting is smarter than listing now, he will say that too.

The Story Behind the Service
Why Real Estate — and Why This Market
Alex did not start in real estate. He trained as an industrial engineer, then spent years in insurance and tax advising. It is an unusual path, and a useful one: engineering taught him to break a complicated problem into steps, and insurance and tax work taught him what actually happens to a family’s money when a deal goes well — or badly.
He moved into real estate in 2013 with a specific idea: a lot of people who could own a home never do, because nobody explains the process to them in language they understand. That is still the point of the work.
He lives in Cumberland. This market is not an abstraction to him — it is where he shops, eats, and raises his family.
